We just added a bunch of Kenmore’s newer French Door models from their Elite line of refrigerators.
Unlike most refrigerator brands, Kenmore uses non-intutive model numbers. A higher end model can have a lower number than a model lower down the list, and you can’t tell the capacity from the model numbers either. This can make differentiating between their refrigerator models rather difficult.
The only information a Kenmore model number will give is the configuration and color. French Door’s start with 7 for instance. Door color is denoted by the last number. 2 = White, 3 = Stainless, 4 = Bisque, 6 = Metallic, and 9 = Black.
Also we are having some trouble finding the manufacturer’s recommended clearances for some of these Kenmore models, so make sure to double check their dimensions and clearances before making a purchase! (That’s always a good idea anyways … )
