In 2013 built-in styles are much more popular than counter depth designs. However, there are fewer built-in styles to choose from and these models tend to be much more expensive while only saving a few extra inches of space. For slightly larger capacities at a cheaper price range look for this style of refrigerator in one of these fashionable finishes.

4. Dacor PF36BNDFBK

There are multiple customization options on the Dacor PF36BNDFBK model. The finish is called Black Glass. You can use a Millenia style handle with the model number AFM36H3. It comes both in chrome and copper. You can also choose AFE36H3B for black handles but the stainless versions will coordinate better with the next accessory.

The design feature that virtually no other line has is the AFM36VSP stainless steel trim kit. This adds vertical stainless edges to the door. If you already have black appliances in your kitchen you may not be that enthusiastic about matching them with a new fridge. This is a dual finish option that will still coordinate. The manufacturer classifies it as cabinet depth instead of counter depth.

3. Bosch B22CS50SNW

Stainless steel is still one of the most popular finishes for 2013 along with panel ready refrigerators. Bosch makes a white refrigerator that doesn’t look outdated. Some panel ready designs use flat fronts and larger handles to look more like cabinetry. This model mimics the same look for a lot less and it has a water dispenser. Instead of a shiny pebbled finish that is so common in this color the brand chose a smooth flat finish.

The stainless steel handles and water dispenser also make it more modern for 2013. It updates both the color and the side by side style.

2. Fisher&Paykel Bottom Freezer RF175WDRUX1

Design wise the big difference between a built in style fridge and a counter depth version is that the counter-depth version will still jut out a little bit. For many homeowners this small design inconvenience could be worth the savings. However, it will interrupt the look of your cabinetry.

Fisher Paykel has a narrower and shallow handle that is classified as standard. It mimics a lot of the popular tubular cabinetry pulls that will lead to a more cohesive look. The handle design reminds me of more expensive sub-zero refrigerators.

Even the water dispenser caters towards small spaces with the Slimline control panel. You can also change the angle of the spout to fill different sizes of pitchers and glasses.

The cabinet color is gray instead of the traditional black tone. The retailers refer to it as gray while the manufacturer calls it “Silver Prepainted”. Gray is a common kitchen cabinet color for 2013 so it’s nice to have appliances that will match this style while still blending in with the stainless steel front.

1. Summit CP171SS

The reviewers seemed to classify this fridge as both tall and narrow. Reviewers also stated that it was perfect for a galley style kitchen. Summit classifies the door as stainless steel with platinum sides. It has 12 cubic feet of capacity but the interior has an effective layout of 3 freezer drawers while some larger capacities only have two.

The handles are the most unique design feature. Since this will most likely be used in small kitchens and apartments it’s nice to not have the typical pull style handle. These triangular shapes are modern but more interesting than the typical recessed design.

Summit realizes that this style of fridge is for people who need to save some space in their kitchen. It could also work in a guest space, carriage house, or a basement apartment where you don’t even have a full kitchen. This is why it wins first place.

Counter-depth trends for 2013 will use stainless steel fronts. Find custom handles or tubular versions to match your cabinetry.

EdgeStar is a brand that uses these lighting systems with their EdgeStar CWR181SZ, EdgeStar 53 CWR531SZ, and Edgestar CWR460DZ models.

Four Brothers LLC shows that you can make use of smaller appliances that still look high end including the Sub-Zero refrigerator. When asked about the wine fridge the designer says that it is a U-Line. Notice how the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling in order to provide as much storage for cookbooks as possible.

The U-Line Wine Captain® 1115WC has smaller 15″ dimensions but it can still hold up to 24 bottles. Forget the traditional dual zone design. It comes with three temperature zones. It also has a professional handle choice. It has beech wood trim on the shelves. This fridge is part of the 1000 series. The 2115WC looks similar but is part of the 2000 series and is supposed to be “vibration safe”.

In the previous two rooms we see that the configuration can also be changed to build these into an island. The frames are slightly different with the second one using an overlay style so it blends in with the cabinetry. One Sub-Zero model with an overlay is 424G/O with an MSRP of $3,140. 424G/S is a classic stainless style with an MSRP of $3,665.

Multiple Undercounter Designs

Storing more bottles doesn’t necessarily require a taller or freestanding cellar. Here several appliances seem to make up the entire island. It is shown with an overlay but it would look good with stainless steel too. The kitchen uses Viking appliances and you will need one with opposing hinge sides to get a French door look. VWCI1240GRSS has the hinge on the right while VWCI1240GRSS has the hinge on the left. Each of these holds 45 bottles but the designer doesn’t give the exact model used.

The Wine Captain® 3036WCWC is a 36″ refrigerator with dual zones and double doors and it holds 62 bottles.

Wet Bar Styles

Traditional Kitchen by Wellesley Kitchen And Bath Divine Kitchens LLC

This Divine Kitchens LLC design turns a wet bar into more of an antique hutch. However, there are plenty of outlets and there’s even a sink. What makes it feel more like an antique piece of furniture are the feet on the bottom and the molding. The corbels underneath the upper cabinets give the illusion that it is one piece. Plus the overlay and glass styles of the beverage center mimic the glass in the upper cabinetry. Wine Captain® has a few dual door designs where one is for beverages and the other one is for wine. 3036BVWC is for a modular overlay and 3018CLR is stainless with an icemaker on the other side. The 3018WC line has an important safety feature. One side is a wine refrigerator and the other side is a fruit crisper. U-3018WCS-01 and U-3018WCS-15 both come with locks.

Making it Blend In

In order to make a wine refrigerator blend in with your cabinetry you’ll want to use the same height and similar dimensions as the dishwasher. This home coordinates the stainless steel style with a German silver farmhouse sink, metallic lanterns, and coordinating hardware on the cabinetry. The new appliances then won’t feel so modern.

Sometimes with kitchen design you have to start with the appliances and build a theme that will coordinate with it. Glass door wine refrigerators can be quite versatile so you can get your favorite style.

While it’s a lovely concept you may not have room in your basement, or the large budget for this project. Maybe it’s not your style or you don’t need an entire cellar. With the new generation of built-in wine refrigerators with UV protected glass there has been a change in where these built-in’s are used and how they look.

Modern Wine Cellars

James Thomas LLC shows how far the cellar concept has come from a dark basement. Everything about the space is modern and there’s even a wall of windows in it!

There are subtle nods to grapes as the table base is inspired by grape vines. This kitchen uses custom cabinetry with Sub-Zero refrigerators. The design uses four cellars. The Sub-Zero WS-30 can use 147 bottles so you could install as many (or as few) as needed. The overlay model number is WS-30/O with an MSRP of $6825 while the Classic Stainless version is WS-30/S with an MSRP of $7,700.

Under-Counter Cabinet Designs

Traditional Dining Room by Duxbury Design-build ARCHIA HOMES

It makes sense to install this built-in where you will actually use it such as near your dining room. This room boasts country charm with the feel of an antique buffet. Go with an overlay style or refrigerator that still has all of the modern conveniences like dual zones. The Architect® Series II has models like KUWO24LSBX and KUWO24RSBX which require not only a custom panel but also a custom handle.

The modern piece fits into the hutch because of the window pane door fronts above it. There are also lots of details like smaller drawers and beadboard backing so it looks more like a rustic antique instead of just a wine cabinet.

Smaller Undercounter Dimensions

Eclectic Kitchen by Indianapolis Kitchen And Bath Shannon Poe

The obvious placement for this is a kitchen but Shannon Poe tweaks the layout a little bit. You could use this facing towards a great room or dining table. The same concept could be applied to a butler’s pantry. She also uses more of a hutch style that has plenty of storage even though the fridge is smaller. It’s a china cabinet that you’ll get a lot more use out of than purely just for display. Notice that it’s a totally different color than the rest of the kitchen which also lends to more of the feel of a furniture piece.

What is actually pictured here is a Viking beverage center similar to the VBCI1240GR or VBCI1240GL models which are 24″. You could stick with the same style in a wine refrigerator. This is a smaller 15″ style. You can choose between a left hinge (VWCI1150GLSS) or a right hinge (VWCI1150GRSS).

Taking price and space into account helps to create a built-in wine storage solution for many different layouts and rooms!

There aren’t as many style and configuration options for outdoor fridges as there are for indoor ones. You can choose between free standing or built-in styles but this is mostly dependent upon price. There are drawer options or beverage centers. However, most of these appliances look very similar with stainless steel fronts.

That doesn’t mean your outdoor kitchen has to look the same as everyone else’s though. The six designers featured here have been able to create six very different outdoor kitchens using the same basic style of appliances.

Rustic Outdoor Kitchens

This style will match most home exteriors. If you have stacked stone or slate outdoors then you can easily transition into a rustic style. Your Great Outdoors uses stone, granite, and cedar for a design with a lot of warm colors. The appliances themselves are quite contemporary looking but the rest of the metals have copper finishes on them.

This design could also use a black finish which you won’t find in stores as often. It would match some of the darker iron tones. Summit has an all freezer and all fridge design. It even comes with a lock which is important when leaving food or drinks unattended. Summit is one of the cheaper manufacturers. SCFF51OS and SCFF51OSIM both have the ability to be built-in or used freestanding.

When you go shopping look for appliances that are U.L. approved and weatherproof. Lighting is more important on these pieces than with an indoor version because you may not have overhead lights outside.

Modern Outdoor Kitchens

If you have glass partitions and concrete outside then your exterior can feel a lot more modern. This Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet design focuses mostly on stainless steel. This allows for more cubic feet of storage space. You can integrate several refrigerator drawers along with a standard fridge or an icemaker.

Summit has a two door beverage center SP6DS2DOS or a three drawer design in SP6DSSTBOS that comes with an ice maker. Look for accents like the BIM24OS which has a towel bar handle. Use stainless fronts for the rest of your cabinets and drawers for a seamless design.

Outdoor Kitchens for Small Spaces

Vidabelo shows a more efficient use of space. Sure, there is less storage space but this serves more as a prep area for grilling than it does as an entire outdoor kitchen. Notice that there is also a built-in wine fridge. The stainless closely matches the color of the stone too which is a good trick for smaller spaces.

Perlick has a 24″ outdoor line with a wine cooler HP24WS, beverage center HP24RS and beer dispenser HP24TS-1Rl. For an even smaller space though you could use their 15″ outdoor series. Remember that this isn’t like indoors where you need a ton of space. This is only a prep station that you will be clearing out often so going with a smaller size will be more affordable and can work in a little backyard. The 15″ wine fridge has a model number of HP15RS-5.

Outdoor Kitchen Islands

A traditional bank of cabinets isn’t the only area you can put outdoor appliances. This designer used a custom made refrigerator for their glass door beverage center and it looks like it’s a pretty large outdoor living area that resembles an interior room.

This shows how stainless appliances can also look very traditional and elegant. These Sub-Zero appliances aren’t really the feature here. The hanging pendant light, columns, and arched cabinets create an Old World vibe. While the designer doesn’t state exactly what the model numbers are, a similar under-counter refrigerator from this brand is UC-24RO, and the icemaker could be the UC-15IO.

The Sub-Zero Pro 48 is available with a glass door or with a regular stainless steel one on the fresh food compartment. It has three evaporators and uses a sculpted metal. You can build it in or leave it freestanding.

The stainless steel model uses the 648PRO model number and the glass door uses 648PROG. Choose the door style depending on how organized you are and your overall kitchen design. Here are 6 drastically different designs that use this fridge from Sub Zero.

The Eclectic Kitchen

Kitchens Unlimited doesn’t state that this fridge is the exact one used but a commenter on Houzz.com suggests it is the model used. This room is filled with very subtle details that you notice the more you look at it. Almost everything in the kitchen has a special nuance to it like the three pendant lights over the sink or the turquoise island.

The glass door model (648PROG) fits in well here because while it appears neutral with the stainless front, the glass door gets noticed upon closer inspection.

Gray Kitchen Design

Either Sub-Zero model would’ve worked in this more contemporary design by East End Country Kitchens. Notice that the cupboards above the refrigerator actually have glass in them which would’ve coordinated with the PROG model. However, there is already so much going on this room from the oversized lighting to the Bertoia barstools and the Big Bang XL Foscarini light that the plainer fridge is a smart choice.

The star of the room is the stained gray wood cabinets. If it was just a painted cabinet in the same color than the appliances would’ve been featured more.

A Pro 48 with Farmhouse Style

The French door style and double freezer can have almost a vintage flair to it, even in a metallic finish. What’s really interesting about this kitchen are the competing metal tones. Instead of choosing more of a farmhouse style appliance with a custom panel, stainless is paired against a copper range hood.

Since the cooper is aged it coordinates with the wood beams better.

Price of Sub Zero Pro 48

The price is similar regardless of the door style you choose. The glass door model has an MSRP of $15,970. The door is supposed to resist UV rays. The stainless version also shares the same MSRP.

Charming Country Kitchen

Traditional Kitchen by Truckee Architect Ward-Young Architecture & Planning

Stainless steel isn’t a typical choice for a rustic room but Ward-Young Architecture & Planning pulls it off in this kitchen. The barn wood on the walls has some gray tones as does the distressed metal backsplash and table. The glass door showcases food which is a common decorative accessory as evidenced by the eggs on the island.

All of the competing finishes and textures would probably be too much in this room without the more modern stainless finish. Plus, the red vintage style stove and range hood would be next to impossible to replicate on a refrigerator but again the stainless accents still coordinate with it.

Industrial Style with Freestanding Fridge

Typically you would find glass doors for sale on commercial style appliances but they are popular for home use now too. Use the glass door style in an industrial kitchen with subway tile walls, open shelves, and metal barstools. Add in warm touches with floral arrangements and red knobs on a Wolf Dual Fuel range.

This style of kitchen showcases the appliances the most because of the simpler color palettes and materials.

Sub Zero PRO 48 in a Traditional Kitchen

There are both traditional and farmhouse elements again in this design which makes it perfect for 2013. This kitchen uses a lot of open space. Most of the cabinetry and appliances are tucked away in arched niches adding to the airy appearance. The glass door fridge gives the same feeling to this room.

When spending so much money on a refrigerator you want to get one that will appeal to home buyers in case at some point in the future if you decide to sell your home. Even if the kitchen design or becomes dated the Sub-Zero Pro 48 can coordinate with a lot of other design visions or plans which makes it a timeless choice.

Glass door refrigerators were once used mostly for a commercial kitchen but they are becoming more popular for home use now. Not only for their great looks, but you can save on energy costs by seeing what exactly is in your fridge before opening the door. Here are some tips on making the most of an expensive appliance, or how to get a similar look for less.

Use Glass Throughout Your Kitchen

For a neutral look that sparkles use glass throughout your entire room. Start off with your refrigerator. Jenny Baines states that this is a 36″ Sub Zero but doesn’t give the exact model number. BI-36UG is a glass door bottom freezer that would work well in this style.

Look for glass pendant lighting and subway tiles for an even airier look. Plexi or acrylic barstools and pitchers or carafes on open shelves continue the glass theme but on a budget. This compliments any color palette or neutral kitchen so if you aren’t able to rip out floor tiles that are unsightly this still works.

Showcase a Sub-Zero 648PROG

The sub-zero 648prog seems to be a very popular model on Houzz and in professionally designed rooms. Note that the freezer has a solid door. The rest of the appliances such as the stove and the microwave match this theme.

Since glass door refrigerators often come only in one color you can bring attention to the stainless design through the use of a bold color like pink as pictured here. Use these kinds of bold colors on the same wall to highlight your appliances.

Cheap Glass Door Refrigerators

The cheapest option in regards to glass door refrigerators would be to go with under-counter refrigeration to supplement your more traditional appliances. Sub-Zero offers a beverage center in UC-24BG. Try a wine chiller or a soda station to free up more room in your fridge.

The Avanti Avanti EWC1801DZ wine cooler is a much cheaper option and it holds 18 bottles. The Avanti WCR684C holds up to 160 bottles. One of the smallest units out there (and the lowest in price) is the FR24SL cooler from Emerson. The price changes significantly depending on whether it has built-in or under-counter capabilities or not.

Center Wine Storage

Charles Todd Helton uses a different take on the glass door refrigerator from Thermador. He uses a center wine column. Thermador offers the 24″ T24IW800SP or the 18″ T18IW800SP. The glass is used on the cabinet fronts and even the countertops. This style of appliances may work better if you aren’t the best at organizing your refrigerator.

The other finishes in the room are crackled or frosted but you won’t find this on an appliance where organization is more important. This kitchen also has more rustic elements with the stacked stone and darker cabinetry.

Glass On the Panels

Drury Design has a new take on both an antique fridge as well as a glass front one. This is done by using antiqued leaded mirrors on a panel ready refrigerator. Try this in a small room to reflect a lot of light and your refrigerator look more like furniture.

The 700BR is an under-counter refrigerator drawer that is often used in kitchen islands. You will get two drawers and about 5.3 cubic ft. of space. It has a crisper cover and is Star-K certified. It also takes tubular or pro handles.

For the small amount of storage space this offers the pricetag is pretty high. The MSRP is $3950 so make sure that you aren’t just going after the novelty aspect. Sometimes larger families could use two fridges but it may not fit into a smaller kitchen.

A separate refrigerator drawer does helps with cooking though. It allows easier access to the items you use the most right in a prep area such as an island. Whether this is worth the hefty price-tag or not is the question.

However, the two islands also provide ample space if you wanted several of these drawers underneath. Multiple sinks also work well for a family who likes to cook together.

I first saw refrigerator drawers on cooking shows and I thought about how convenient and faster it would be. In recent years it’s become more popular for home chefs and this Sub-Zero drawer model can be a surprise addition to your kitchen.

When contemporary kitchens were popular it was much easier to get an appliance suite. You just had to go pick out a stainless steel package and any would do. In 2013 we’re seeing fridges that look like furniture, fully integrated designs, and expensive custom cabinets (and handles!). This is better suited to the popular farmhouse style. There is a compromise between vintage designs and modern functionality this year.

Beadboard Style Fridges

There are a lot of panel ready refrigerators like the KitchenAid Architect Series II KSSO42FTX that are typically shown in a shaker style panel. This year bead board is a big trend on fridges and it helps to make it look more vintage; plus it will match country kitchen cabinets this way. Most of these style refrigerators will also use ornate handles and built-in’s on either side for more storage and so it looks more like a hutch.

Cabinetry Over the Fridge

You may have your heart set on a really modern stainless steel refrigerator with a built-in water dispenser but this seems to directly conflict with a casual farmhouse look. Stainless fronts like the KBUDT4255E from Thermador or the FPUS2698LF from Frigidaire may seem to conflict directly with this. Have built-in cabinetry in a weathered wood tone to match this. Then make a big statement somewhere else in the room so that the appliances aren’t the focal point, such as this farmhouse style island by JD Hunt Construction.

Give it the Look of a Cabinet

Usually in order for an appliance to look like cabinetry it has to have a panel front to it. Arturo Palombo changes that concept with a Liebherr. He doesn’t say which model he uses but choose a built-in style like the BF-1061. Buy the appliances first and match the cabinetry to it but in a different finish. Use continuous crown molding throughout.

Use a Wood Panel

Usually you would try to hide a lot of the stainless steel trim and vents in order to get a vintage style. However when buying a brand like Sub-Zero the vents are really what gives it away and so you may want to showcase it. Here the fridge is similar to the cabinetry but in a darker wood tone. You could get a similar look in either an Over and Under style like the BI-36UFD or BI-42S (1067) but they are both pictured with vent covers on the manufacturer’s website.

Pile on the Hardware

If you really want to mimic an icebox then you’re going to need oversized hinges and handles. It also helps if the doors are narrower; you can always use several to get the space that you need. Rebekah Zaveloff says that she used Thermador Freedom Columns to create this look but didn’t specify the model number. The only two models that are currently available are T24IR800SP and T30IR800SP.

It is cabinet depth.

Distressing is a popular trend for 2013 as are varying heights. Your appliances will almost always stand out; so make it look intentional with a facade or cupboard on the top. This works best if the top cupboard is actually higher than the rest of the surrounding cabinets.

To keep up with the kitchen design trends this year get out your wallet. It’s rare to see a freestanding fridge or a black or white one. Built-in’s and fully integrated designs with custom panels and finishes are more popular.

The contemporary kitchen style has been the most popular throughout the last decade but 2013 has seen a change in this regard. There are many more farmhouse and vintage designs. This changes the type of appliances that are being used.

Contemporary used to be interchangeable with the word modern. However, since the definition of the word means basically “what is popular now” the overall design has really changed. You probably don’t want to get rid of perfectly good stainless appliances so here is how you can use this material with what is popular right now.

Smaller Scale Appliances

For the past few years oversized French door refrigerators were popular and they wouldn’t really fit in any room or in any budget. This Zin Interior Concepts showcases a fridge size that would work in almost any home. This is less expensive and will save you money by using less energy each year. It is the same stainless steel style front but the appliance suite is different than what we’ve seen before; with the bright orange UltraNova oven and the stenciled floors. These two items are the feature of the room so the fridge can be simpler.

While the designer states what stove is used, the fridge isn’t mentioned. Some mid-sized refrigerators that have a similar color and configuration are the Whirlpool WRT111SFAF, Frigidaire FFPT12F3MM, and the Gorenje FN6181CX.

Monochromatic Schemes

Stainless steel is still the appliance color of choice but it’s more of the base of an overall color palette. This year monochromatic kitchens are popular which includes gray cabinets, backsplashes, and even lighter countertops like marble with gray veins in them. Your appliances will blend in more this way. So you won’t need to go with an expensive built-in if it doesn’t fit your budget.

Try storage for cookbooks on top of your fridge like this Aaron Gordon Construction room. Summit FFBF285SS, Maytag EcoConserve MBR2258XES, and Amana ABB1924WES are all affordable stainless bottom freezer models.

Mix and Match Your Appliances

Take a look at this kitchen quickly. Did you even notice the appliances? Contemporary kitchens typically use stainless steel appliances. You’ll want a fridge with a recessed handle and a flat front. Instead of a dramatic French Door style look for a bottom freezer. Built-in cabinets and open shelves provide even more storage space. Two built-in refrigerators that would work for this concept are the KitchenAid KBLO36FTX and the Sub Zero BI-36UOF.

It’s also interesting that the appliances don’t necessarily match in this kitchen. A stainless stove and a white fridge would usually be a design faux pas but the handles and vent on the refrigerator help tie the two together.

Chevron Patterns

For kitchens that just need a little freshening up try a chevron pattern to get it ready for 2013. Typically we see this pattern in high contrast colors like navy blue and white. It’s usually used more traditionally in kitchen design for durability with a marble or stone accent.

If you already have a good base of white cabinets, wood, or laminate floors and stainless appliances this can be a way to freshen up your room design. We’re also seeing backsplashes extended onto the entire wall instead of just being right above the countertop.

Hidden Storage

Flat front cabinets have been popular for several years but 2013 has brought darker colors like gray. We’re also seeing a trend where the refrigerator matches this but in a different material like stainless steel. Save money by skipping a water dispenser and this also gives you a cleaner look. The large capacity then becomes a focal point.

The side by side style is also popular again this year instead of just the French door configuration. The GE Monogram ZISS480NXSS has a capacity of 29.90 cu. ft. and provides a contemporary look. Try to make your appliances look more integrated into the overall room design in 2013.

When going with integrated refrigerators, you have a lot of options. Refrigerators that look like armoires tend to be more intricate and expensive than most choices. It may even be the priciest that you will find and it doesn’t work that well in smaller kitchens.

If you have a panel ready built-in refrigerator though you can get a similar look for a lot less money. This style works well if you want an upgraded appliance but stainless steel isn’t your thing. Semi-integrated or fully integrated appliances work well with popular farmhouse style rooms and in smaller kitchens. Here are our top five favorite refrigerators that look like cabinets.

Dark Wood Panels

Unlike appliances that try to mimic armoires this style is much simpler. Custom panel side by side fridges like KitchenAid KSSO42FTX and the GE Monogram ZIS420NX have traditionally been used with lighter wood cabinetry or painted panels. An update is a darker wood tone with more of a flat front style.

Such a style often uses a side by side refrigerator instead of a French door one. Side by sides are usually more affordable than similar French door models. Look for custom handles like those that are shown in this Kirkpatrick Architects design. The wood tones almost have a retro 70s feel. The stone countertops, pendant lights, and stainless appliances take it into a contemporary territory.

Fully Integrated Fridges

Venegas and Company uses a fully integrated style here. They went with a fully integrated Thermador with the model number T18IF7ONSP. The other side boasts an all refrigerator style with the model number T24IR70NSP. The unusual part about this is actually the handles.

It has been popular to mimic the handles of cabinetry. (It will be easier to start with your appliance handle and match your cabinetry handle than working the other way). Typically we would see a white fridge with a white handle. These stainless handles match the appliances but more importantly; it coordinates with the cabinets.

Blue Paneled Refrigerators

This integrated refrigerator gives itself away a little bit because of the water dispenser. Blue is a really popular kitchen color so there may be a temptation to go with a dramatic choice like the Dacor PF36BNDFBU which is called Blue Water. Instead, get a panel ready refrigerator where it will be easier to change the color during your next remodel.

You will want to go with a water dispenser that is stainless or silver instead of black such as the GE PSB42YGXSV. This cool color will match the handles and also the blue tone a lot better. This fridge also has added height from the cabinets on top and the crown molding.

Traditional Look for Small Kitchens

Everything about this kitchen is very classic. The simple white cabinetry, the color palette, and the glass front doors will still be livable in ten years. The glass is highlighted by spotlights to make it a showcase which also detracts attention from where exactly the fridge is. The designer states that this is a Liebherr refrigerator but is unsure of the model number. The fully integrated counter depth Liebherr HC1001 would give you a similar feel but it has a bottom freezer door instead of two freezer drawers.

Large Capacities

It becomes a bit of a treasure hunt when working with integrated appliances to see who can spot the fridge first. When you go with a larger capacity or two single door fridges next to each other it looks more like a pantry. Also French door styles will be better because the drawers on the bottom will more closely mimic the rest of your storage.

For a traditional or classic style home integrated or built-in appliances are the best. Stainless steel is more contemporary but it’s also more difficult to clean.
